Delivery Driver - Brooklyn, NY (Produce Division)
Job Title: Delivery Driver Reports To: General Manager Duties and Responsibilities: •Perform Pre and Post-trip Inspection, including interior and exterior cleaning •Load and unload delivery vehicles by safely operating equipment and machines •Keep products protected and secured. •Deliver and pick up products to correct addresses along scheduled route •Accurately obtain confirmation signatures, accept payments •Follow proper post-delivery procedures •Immediately report incidents •Ensure that the delivery vehicle receives basic service •Report larger service needs and mechanical issues Required Skills and Abilities: •Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, transportation laws, and parking regulations. •Ability to use navigation tools (onboard GPS, smartphone apps, maps) •Ability to maintain basic logs and records, with reliable attention to detail •Ability to work with team, strong communication, task/time management skills. •Good, professional customer service skills. Education and Experience: •High School Diploma or equivalent. •Three years satisfactory driving record with valid in-state driver’s license. •Special training may be required to operate certain vehicles. Physical Requirements: •Walk, climb stairs, and drive for extended periods. •Lift and carry up to 45 lbs regularly, 70 lbs occasionally. •Load and unload items with and without equipment in various types of weather.
